Hey everyone! Radiant Lit was able to snag a second interview with Megan DiMaria. Her second novel is the continuing story of Serching for Spice, and in this sequel Linda Revere is losing control.

Listen in as we chit-chat about adult children, in which Megan was able to encourage me since I have yet to cross that bridge. ; )

Listen in as Sharon Hinck shares with us about her newest novel, Stepping Into Sunlight. It’s an incredibly moving story and Sharon also has a blog encouraging women to do a small kind act for a different person each day. During the 30 days of September, they are going to do set a goal to do these small kind acts.  Sound fun? Sound scary? Sound impossible?  I’m taking the challenge! Join me here!

About Stepping Into Sunlight:

Far from family and friends, she fights to heal for the sake of her seven-year-old son, even though ordinary tasks take heroic efforts. She’s haunted by flashbacks and is tormented by fear, so she designs a project to speed her recovery: doing one small, kind act for a different person each day. The results are sometimes funny, sometimes heartbreaking, and often used by God in surprising ways.

Whoever warned mamas not to let their babies grow up to be cowboys never saw the man in Dr. Rachel Donovan’s waiting room. But good-looking cowboys should come with their own warning – TROUBLE!

At seventeen, Rachel’s illusions about romance were trampled by a rouge cowboy. In the fifteen years since, she steered clear of spurs and Stetsons – until she finds herself roped into chairing the Shady Grove Centennial Rodeo Committee. How will she handle working so closely with the one man in town she most wants to avoid?

Ex-rodeo star Jack Westwood never forgot his unrequited teenage fascination for Rachel Donovan, but now that he’s back in town, he barely recognized the woman she’s become. Jack can’t help but wonder…Is the feisty cowgirl he remembers still there beneath the shutter exterior.

When a secret from long ago comes knocking Rachel fights to maintain her sterling reputation. But can the woman who has devoted her life to healing others allow God to mend her own hurts? Will she seize the opportunity to reconcile with her own past and open her heart to love again?

Christine Lynxwiler lives with her husband and two daughters in the foothills of the beautiful Ozark Mountains in her home state of Arkansas. Her greatest joy is her family and aside from doing God’s will, spending time with them in her top priority.

This still-grieving, single mom is torn between memories and realities. And wants desperately for God to heal her family.

For Andy, tall and blonde like Marty, being forced to live with strangers is just one more reason not to trust anyone. Her soul is as beat up as the run down Blue Moon Drive-In the family owns. But Tuesday night is family night at the Blue Moon. And as Andy’s hopes fade, healing come from the last place she wanted or expected – the hurting family and loving God she fought so hard to resist.

I had the pleasure of reviewing Andrew Clarke’s novel, Outcasts of Skagaray, a while back. I was so impressed by the uniqueness (is uniqueness a word?) of the story that I asked Clarke if he’d allow me an interview. He graciously agreed and now you can hear about the novel and the story behind it in his own words. :)

This is a heartfelt story of a foster child who is running after love. After the death of his grandmother, Jeremiah bounces around from home to home. Each home he runs into eventually returns him to Children’s Services leaving him feeling unwanted and unloved. Holding on to the ‘strong words’ his grandmother instilled in him, he keeps the last strand of his hope from unraveling.

Jeremiah loves to run, but running usually leads him into trouble. No one seems to understand his need to run. Other don’t understand how running makes him feel set free like a caged bird. However, Jeremiah is consequently negating his future by running away from his past and he doesn’t realize the affect it is having on his present situation.

Nevertheless God has a plan, but will Jeremiah’s mustard seed faith grow into an answered prayer?

Mabel Elizabeth Singletray engages her readers with the compelling story of a foster child who, like all foster children, wants to be part of a family. Singletray stirs up emotions that cause the reader‘s heart to ache for the character Jeremiah. An excellent read for children and adults.
