bb-cover-largeMany of the songs on “Worlds Collide” were inspired by Bates’ work in Africa. Over the past two years, he’s helped develop a project called “Mission Bo”, a partnership with World Vision dedicated to bringing clean water, food, healthcare and education to the people of Sierra Leone. “It was a window into learning about things that break the heart of God,” says Bates of traveling to Africa. “We are committed to this 10-15 year development project. Review: The Bride Bargain by Kelly Eileen Hake

Historical, Reviews No Comments

bride-bargainThe Bride Bargain is a historical novel about Clara, a woman headed west on a wagon train trying to make her way in the world. She is bringing her aunt west in hopes of starting anew, but when the wagon train leaves them behind due to a uncorigable oxen, Clara isn’t sure what will happen to them. Can they find their way or will they perish in the middle-of-nowhere?

This is a sweet, engaging story. The characters are well written and likable and the “wild west” setting makes it a lot of fun
