Review: Seaside Letters by Denise Hunter

denise-seasideDenise Hunter gives her readers another fantastic story in Seaside Letters. I loved the characters from the very first page and literally read the book in 1 day. I couldn’t put it down!

The main characters, Sabrina and Tucker, met online. Sabrina knows that Tucker is one of the customers that she serves coffee to every morning in the cafe where she works. However, for many reasons, she doesn’t want Tucker to know who she is. Sabrina wants to keep things safe and continue their online relationship, but Tucker wants to meet in person. Sabrina will go to any length to make sure that Tucker never finds her because she knows once he figures out it’s her he won’t want anything to do with her. When Tucker hires her to find “Sweetpea” (Sabrina’s online handle), she knows she’s going to have to do something drastic to keep her secret.

Twists and turns abound as readers follow Sabrina and Tucker on their search for the elusive “Sweetpea.” I laughed out loud at Sabrina’s antics and yet really felt for her pain at times, too. I’m always nervous when author’s include technology in their novels, but Hunter did a great job incorporating the online interaction and it was obvious that she’d done her homework.

Hunter is definitely on my list of author’s I’ll read more of!
