Another one of my very favorite authors, Melody Carlson is responsible for other great Christian chick lit titles like Limelight, A Mile in My FlipFlops and These Boots Weren’t Made for Walking. Her Carter House Girls series may be YA (young adult), but I still love it. The characters are sweet and the situations they find themselves in are hilarious!

Before publishing, Melody traveled around the world, volunteered in teen ministry, taught preschool, raised two sons, and worked briefly in interior design and later in international adoption.
