A Woman Called Sage, by award-winning author DiAnn Mills, is a lively historical novel full of energy, action and emotion. Set in the late 1800′s, the story follows, Sage, a beautiful half Ute, half Caucasian woman who has been stripped of the husband and unborn child she loved. In anger and seeking vengeance against the evil men who destroyed her life, Sage becomes a bounty hunter set on catching her prey. But as life would have it, Sage faces circumstances that make her once again the hunted instead of the hunter.
When Sage, with her only companion a hawk she has befriended and trained, or perhaps has befriended her, meets Marshall Parker Timmons, a man trailing the same outlaws she is in search of, she struggles with the growing feelings she feels for him, while all the while denying them—even to herself.
DiaAnn Mills is a gifted storyteller with an art for dialog who gives strength, but also vulnerability to her characters as she brings them to life. As she leads her readers through the sights and scents of the old wild west, the feelings of the era develop and become as real as the emotions evoked from their joy and suffering.
A Woman Called Sage is an inspirational romance that draws attention to the characters’ relationships with God in addition to the drama and romantic tension. Will Sage rediscover the faith that once meant so much to her? Read it and find out.
