In her latest novel, Indelible, Kristen Heitzmann expertly weaves a spell-binding tale of regret, hope, and forgiveness. It is a story of choices. The novel shows us that though trials will come, ultimately how we respond is our decision. We can fold beneath their weight, or rise above them.

Heitzmann brings to life unique characters that will draw the reader in, making him or her feel their pains, joys, and victories. With each passing page, the character’s plights became mine and suddenly seeing them succeed became personal. I loved how many of the characters had what many perceived as disabilities. However, they were actually gifts because it gave them a perspective that their “normal” counterparts lacked.

I strongly recommend this novel. My only regret is that I didn’t read the first book in the series, Indivisible, not because it’s necessary to follow the story, but because Indelible has such intriguing plots and appealing characters that I wished I had known more about their background.
