This is a devotional book for girls my age. The book is based on the verse in Philippians 4:8, that says… “ Finally, brothers, Whatever is true, Whatever is noble, Whatever is right, Whatever is pure, Whatever is lovely, Whatever is admirable—-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy— think about such things.” It covers a variety of topics, and issues that most teen girls deal with, like forgiveness, youth, responsibility, babysitting, and honor.
One of my favorite topics was “A little R.E.S.P.E.C.T.”
I like how much it helped me understand things in life a little better. I think they really should not have some words, or subjects that some kids like me, who are younger teens, are still uncomfortable with hearing and using, but other than that I really liked the book, “Whatever”.
The author did a great job a writing it in a way kids will understand. She wrote this book for girls and for girls 11-17. It is a great book for these ages, and I would recommend it to other tweens and teens. I know it will be as helpful to them as it was to me.
Rated PG: The book still uses words some kids are uncomfortable with.

Jklyn is a young teen who lives with her mom and dad in Indiana. She is the youngest of seven siblings, which includes 4 older sisters and 2 older brothers. Jklyn loves all her homeschool subjects, but especially spelling, writing, reading, science, and music. She loves attending church, reading, writing, singing, acting, and spending time with her friends. However, Jklyn’s favorite thing above all is spending time and playing with her favorite family member, her pet, Lady, a Beagle/Basset Hound mix dog.
When she grows up, Jklyn dreams of being an actress, fashion designer, veterinarian, and a professional book reviewer. Her favorite day of the week is Monday, when she attends Homeschool Choir at her church, helps watch the toddlers and babies for moms who help the Choir Teacher, and gets to do P.E. with all her friends. Jklyn’s excitement over reading a new book is sure to pour out in her reviews.

Jklyn……I am so happy you enjoyed the book, and will keep in mind that some of the words were too difficult for tweens of your age when I write another book. Thanks sooo much for doing the review, and I hope you will pass along the book or news of the book to your friends.
Hey, and Jklyn….if you want to see who was by my side the whole time I wrote the book, go to http://www.AlliaWrites and under the drop down menu, Miscellaneous, look for “My Cats,” and you’ll see my three fur-babies, Angela Dah-ling, MacDuff the Brave, and Sineady Cat the Fraidy Cat.
Thanks again.
