We all have people in our lives that we don’t know how we could live without. These friends serve as sounding boards in a decision-making process. The person on the other end of the phone or cup of coffee that always listens, rarely passes judgment and thoughtfully advises. The one who is a constant presence in life’s joys and trials.

This is a mentor.

The title of “mentor” can be intimidating…but mentoring relationships take different shapes depending on the people involved. It could be that your mentor is a best friend, a small group Bible study leader, or your mother. Perhaps you have a formal discipleship relationship and are going through a Bible study or Christian living book. Or maybe it’s more informal – chatting over a cup of coffee or lending accountability to each other in areas of weakness.

In Nowhere, Carolina, Maggie Pickwick’s life is changed because of the counsel of an older woman. Whatever your mentor relationship looks like, we want to know about a woman that has impacted your life in a lasting way.
