Nellie Mae Fisher lives in Honeybrook, an Amish community. Her family is grieving the loss of her younger sister, Suzy, who died in a boating accident. Many questions surround the death of Suzy and as those answers begin to surface Nellie hopes they will not get in the way of her future with Caleb Yoder who has just begun to court her.
