Book 5 in Susan May Warren’s Montana Rescue series lives up to the excitement found in every one of its predecessors! From the start of the book, where a tornado roars through Ben King’s country music concert, to the conclusion, this story takes the PEAK team out of Montana to rural Minnesota, on a search for their leader, Chet King, missing since the tornado.

PEAK member, Ty Remington, has felt pretty useless to the team ever since a helicopter crash shattered his knee and nearly claimed the life of his mentor, Chet. When he hears Chet is missing along with a high school track team, he hops aboard the helicopter to do what he can, even though he doesn’t think it’s much.

Brette Arnold has spent the last year battling cancer. Physically, she feels like less than a woman – she lost her hair, her breasts, and so much weight she’s almost skeletal. A journalist, she’s gone from writing stories of hope, to chasing storms – the stronger the better. When an F5 tornado roars through Minnesota, leaving her co-chaser’s brother among the missing, she has no idea that the search will bring in PEAK rescue. Ty Remington had rescued Brette, getting her to the hospital just as her appendix burst, back before cancer took her body from her. She’s positive that his interest from that time will turn to horror when he sees her now. Will Ty prove her right?

As Ty and Brette join the search for the missing high school team and Chet King, can their bruised, battered hearts see the strength they both have together?

I love how Ms. Warren’s series focus on one main couple, and yet, almost every couple’s story is also added to. For instance, Ty and Brette and the focus in Storm Front, but Kacey and Ben, Ian and Sierra, Gage and Ella, Pete and Jess, all have their moments, some more than others. It makes me look forward to the next book in the series with even greater anticipation, because I’m getting back together with old friends. The teaser at the end for Wait for Me, is heart pounding! I can hardly wait until November!!

Suspense readers will be pulled into this story and will love each Romance readers will also enjoy the heart they see in each character. This one gets all the stars from me!

Rated G: No worries here.
