Matilda Castillo, who goes by Tilly, has always had a passion for dancing. An unfortunate injury the previous winter made Tilly lose all hope of pursuing her dreams of becoming a professional dancer. She dropped all connections and was determined to heal.

By summer Tilly had recovered, and an opportunity arose to spend her summer vacation practicing in a dance troupe from New York whose performance would determine a job for the best dancer. Nothing would stop Tilly, not even her mother’s dream for her to attend college.

Arriving in New York, Tilly is determined to dance as a career but as she meets new friends and reconnects with old friends, drama arises in her life. Sabrina Wolfrik, another member of the dance troupe, wants to bring Tilly down.

The competition heats up in Christina June’s novel, Everywhere You Want to Be. It has everything from romance to rivalry. This novel is perfect for a quick, light read over the weekend. I recommend this novel to anyone who likes dancing, music, and a little bit of romance.

Rated PG: Very appropriate. There was a little bit of kissing, and a mention of adults drinking champagne at the end.
